Complete Care and Balanced Nutrition

At Little Learners Academy, we envision a space that offers full-day care from 7:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M., providing flexible options for busy families. Understanding that nutrition is essential to a child’s development, we partner with Child Eats to provide all meals and snacks. Our food program features fresh, non-processed, made-from-scratch meals that ensure every child enjoys balanced, nutritious, and delicious options. With accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions, we strive to meet the highest standards of health and taste in every meal.

Our Philosophy

Whole Child Approach

At Little Learners Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child, mind, body, and spirit. Our philosophy is rooted in fostering a safe and loving environment where each child can explore their curiosity, build confidence, and develop essential skills for lifelong learning. We prioritize emotional well-being alongside academic readiness, ensuring children feel valued and understood as they grow.

Learning Through Play

We embrace the power of play as a critical tool for learning. Our program is designed to inspire children to discover and explore the world around them through hands-on, experiential activities. By allowing children to learn at their own pace, we create an environment where they can build problem-solving skills, express creativity, and develop a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Values- Driven Education

Our foundation is built on instilling core values of respect, kindness, and responsibility. At Little Learners Academy, we guide children to develop strong moral character while encouraging a spirit of empathy and compassion. By integrating these values into daily interactions and lessons, we help children grow not only as learners but as compassionate individuals ready to contribute positively to their communities.

Health & Wellness Policy

At Little Learners Academy, the health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority. We follow Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) and City of Chicago requirements regarding health practices, including daily sanitation and food safety.

In alignment with Illinois law, families may submit a state-issued Certificate of Religious Exemption if applicable. While we strongly encourage all families to consult with their healthcare providers, we also respect the rights of parents to make decisions that are best for their child.

Pathways to Growth

Curriculum

At Little Learners Academy, we believe in purposeful learning through play, exploration, and structured activities. Our program is designed to support the developmental milestones of children ages 3 to 5, ensuring they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We incorporate research-based practices that foster early literacy, foundational math, and hands-on science activities. With small group sizes and personalized attention, every child gets the opportunity to thrive in an environment that balances creativity, critical thinking, and fun.

Daily Program

Our daily schedule at Little Learners Academy is thoughtfully planned to provide structure, variety, and opportunities for independent and guided learning. Children enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, balanced with quiet reading time and interactive play. Meals and snacks are catered to ensure healthy nutrition, and rest times are integrated to recharge little minds. We also emphasize building positive social skills, encouraging children to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve with their peers. As a tech-free program, we believe early childhood is a time for hands-on discovery, face-to-face connection, and meaningful play—not screens. Our classrooms are intentionally designed to foster creativity, imagination, and rich social interaction in a nurturing, screen-free environment. With a strong focus on holistic growth, we create an enriching experience that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.
